Steve Sarkisian and the Texas Longhorns recruiting apparatus have brought in four high pedigree football commits for their 2026 class in the last month already. Now they're closing in on another elite offensive four star recruit that should help protect Arch Manning and the quarterbacks who come after him as official visits approach.
Grayson McKeogh has quickly risen from complete unknown to highly rated four star recruit in a matter of just a few months here as the 2026 recruiting class is beginning to crystalize. At 6'7", 280 pounds, McKeogh quite literally grew into form this last fall as a dominant offensive tackle, but largely went completely unnoticed until November when he took an unofficial visit with Penn State.
Since then the scholarship offers have been rolling in fast. The Longhorns joined the fray extremely late (just within the last week or so), but that apparently didn't matter as McKeogh immediately announced that Texas is in his final three and will be receiving an official visit within the next month.

The 6’7 280 OT from Glenside, PA has locked in OVs to each of his finalists:
Penn State: June 6-8
Notre Dame: June 13-15
Texas: June 20-22

McKeogh's recruitment has been a frantic sprint compared to most for the Longhorns, so this might feel like more of a long shot than other blue chip targets for Steve Sarkisian, but that's really the case for just about every other school involved too. McKeogh is also still considering both Notre Dame and Penn State, so Texas will need to beat out two other College Football Playoff contenders, but they can definitely do it.
Penn State is perceived to be in the lead for McKeogh at the moment as they were in on him earlier than others, but recent NFL Draft track record for Texas should come in handy. The Longhorns have sent three offensive tackles to the NFL Draft in the last two years alone. Kelvin Banks in the first round this spring. Cameron Williams in the sixth. Plus Christian Jones last year in round five. The development has been proven at Texas.
The Longhorns already have two four star offensive line recruiting commits for the 2026 class in Max Wright and Nicolas Robertson, but Grayson McKeogh would be the highest rated talent to join the team in the trenches so far if he does indeed commit. Texas fans should feel confident with where Sarkisian already has the Longhorns 2026 recruiting class and the offensive line, but snagging another 6'7" monster at tackle couldn't hurt. Let's hope Sark can close the deal quickly as it seems McKeogh wants to make a decision here soon.
