The Ohio State Buckeyes have already added 11 commits from the class of 2026, earning the No. 3 spot in On3's team recruiting rankings. However, sources predict that the team will miss out on adding yet another five-star prospect.

Texas has emerged as the overwhelming favorite to land five-star offensive tackle Felix Ojo, the Mansfield (Texas) Lake Ridge product projected to command $809,000 in NIL value upon arrival.

On3’s prediction gives Texas a 90.1 percent chance to secure Ojo, dwarfing Oklahoma’s 2.2 percent and Ohio State’s 1.6 percent odds, and cementing the Longhorns as the clear front-runner for the prized in-state prospect.

"The Longhorns are considered the front-runner for the prized in-state prospect out of Mansfield (Texas) Lake Ridge, but Ohio State is right there making a strong case." Steve Wiltfong wrote on Thursday. "Florida, Michigan, Oklahoma, Colorado, Ole Miss and Texas Tech are also in the equation for five-star offensive tackle Felix Ojo."

Standing 6-7 and 274 pounds, Ojo is rated the No. 4 overall recruit and the No. 3 offensive tackle nationally in the On3 Industry Rankings.

Ojo’s official visit calendar stresses the national scramble. He’s slated to visit Ohio State on May 30, Michigan on June 6, Texas on June 13 and Oklahoma on June 20, with additional spring stops unofficially scheduled at Notre Dame and Florida.

Colorado coach Deion Sanders has also locked in an official visit with Ojo for early May, adding the Buffaloes to a list of elite suitors hoping for a late surge. But as of now, the Longhorns are adding a five-star to the team.
