No. 1 Texas will kick off the 2025 college football season against No. 3 Ohio State on Aug. 30 at 11 a.m. CT.
Football fans from all across the country are eager to see how Texas quarterback Arch Manning performs in his debut as the full-time starter for the Longhorns. His name needs no introduction, the nephew of Peyton and Eli has taken the college football world by storm this offseason.
Manning sat behind Quinn Ewers on the depth chart the last two seasons. It's now finally his time to shine and the hype and expectations surrounding Texas' new signal-caller is through the roof. You'd expect high quality play from the former No. 1 overall recruit, but Manning's pedigree multiples that significantly.
That type of attention translates to off-the-field life for Manning also.
According to On3, Manning has the highest NIL Valuation of any college athlete in any sport at $6.8 million. That number will likely continue to rise if he performs well throughout the season.
The next highest NIL Valuation is Miami quarterback Carson Beck at $4.3 million, followed by Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith at $4.2 million. The next Longhorn on the ranking is wide receiver Ryan Wingo who lands at No. 43 overall with a $1.5 million valuation.
We'll soon see what Manning is made of against a well-coached Ohio State defense. A strong performance could bring his hype to ungodly levels.
