Steve Sarkisian and the Texas Longhorns have become one of the best teams in college football over the last few years. Heading into the 2025 season, a lot of eyes will be watching Arch Manning and Texas as a potential national championship contender.
After taking over as the program's head coach back in 2021, Sarkisian has completely turned things around and built a winning culture.
He has led the Longhorns to an 84-52 overall record during his tenure leading the way and made it all the way to the Cotton Bowl last season. In his first year, Sarkisian and Texas finished with a 5-7 record, showing off the impressive growth since that point in time.
In his years with the Longhorns, Sarkisian has become an elite recruiter, both in old-school recruiting of high school talent and in the transfer portal.
On Tuesday afternoon, some big recruiting news came out about Texas.
Carsyn Baker, a four-star running back prospect hailing from Langston Hughes in Fairburn, Georgia, announced that he has received an offer from the Longhorns.
"After a great conversation with @CoachChadScott I am blessed to receive an offer from The University of Texas," he wrote in a post on X.

Baker would be a nice addition to the 2026 recruiting class for Texas. He has big-time potential at the college level.
Currently, Baker is ranked by On3 Sports as the No. 18 running back in the 2026 recruiting class. He is also ranked as the No. 220 overall player in the nation and No. 24 in the state of Georgia.
