Joey McGuire and the Texas Tech Red Raiders have been putting in work on Sunday, with back-to-back additions in the Class of 2026.
A few hours after three-star offensive lineman Jacob Crow announced his commitment, Demarcus Marks, an underrated EDGE from Houston, Texas, did the same.
I am very thankful for all the opportunities I received. I hope to be great in the future and show that I made the right decision. God, my coaches, my team and my parents all made this happen. I’m excited to announce that I will be a future Red Raider! #wreckem pic.twitter.com/Z3IYm5PCh7

“I am very thankful for all the opportunities I received,” Marks wrote on X. “I hope to be great in the future and show that I made the right decision. God, my coaches, my team, and my parents all made this happen. I’m excited to announce that I will be a future Red Raider!”
Despite being an unranked recruit by most major services, the Texas native received some serious buzz from teams around the country. Marks chose the Red Raiders over offers from 12 different programs, including Utah, Colorado State, New Mexico, and more.
With his commitment, Marks became the Red Raiders’ 12th addition to the Class of 2026, joining a cast of talented prospects.
Texas Tech is coming off an incredible offseason that ended with the Red Raiders dominating the transfer portal. They added several difference-makers and have parlayed that momentum into a hot start in the Class of 2026.
They check in as the nation’s 35th-best recruiting class and the Big 12’s fifth-best class.
