The Army-Navy game uniforms have been revealed

The Army-Navy game isn't until Dec. 14, but there's plenty of reason to talk about it.

Both military academies released the uniforms each will be wearing and the harrowing stories behind them.

On Monday, CFP No. 19 Army (9-0) posted a video debuting their all-black combo inspired by the Screaming Eagles of the 101st Airborne Division from World War II.

The jerseys feature details like the "invasion star" patch and the name "Bastogne" — the Belgian town where the infamous Battle of the Bulge took place in 1944.

The nameplates are printed in the font typical of Army cable messages of  the era and the black helmets have card suits and the Screaming Eagles emblem on them.

Navy (7-3) revealed its uniforms on Wednesday, aptly named the "Jolly Rogers" in honor of "the most lethal" aviators in the branch.

The team posted a video displaying the nearly all-white uniforms in cinematic fashion, akin to the "Top Gun" movie franchise.

The jerseys are designed to mimic the paint job of the aircraft used by the Jolly Rogers and the helmets are branded with their skull and crossbones insignia.

This is the second time Navy will honor the aviation unit. In 1962, then-quarterback Roger Staubach led the Midshipmen to a 34-14 win over the Black Knights in Jolly Rogers-inspired helmets.

Army and Navy will face off at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland on Dec. 14 in the 125th edition of the storied rivalry game.

The Midshipmen lead the all-time series 62-55-7 but the Black Knights have won three of the last four meetings.

The game could carry College Football Playoff implications if Army is still undefeated and champions of the American Athletic Conference.
