The Miami Hurricanes have gone from the last at-large team included in the College Football Playoff field to being 60 minutes away from winning a national title in their home city.
But after wins at Texas A&M and over Ohio State and Ole Miss on neutral sites, their toughest test comes in the form of No. 1 Indiana in the title game. If the Hurricanes are going to capture the program’s first championship since 2001-02, they’re going to have to overcome an undefeated Hoosier squad featuring Heisman Trophy-winner Fernando Mendoza that beat Alabama and Oregon by a combined score of 84-25.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. While it has been two and a half decades since Miami’s last title, an upset tonight would give them six in program history. Indiana, meanwhile, is hoping to capture their first ever national title. With that being said, how many of the college football national champions since 1950 can you name in 10 minutes?
Good luck!
