The word Kalen DeBoer is using to motivate Alabama in 2025

Over the last few seasons, Alabama football has been known to be clever with words and mottos.

In 2023, Jalen Milroe and Terrion Arnold came up with the acronym LANK, which means Let All Naysayers Know. Last year, after players made mental mistakes or were penalized in practice, head coach Kalen DeBoer started making players sprint and touch signs around the facility with the acronym TNT on them as a physical reminder to the players of the things that “Takes No Talent” to do.

What is the burning message for Alabama ahead of the 2025 season? Alabama football’s offensive guard, Jaeden Roberts said DeBoer is dialed in on one particular word ahead of the 2025 season.

“Something that we’ve talked about as a team, especially with Coach DeBoer, is unbreakable,” Roberts said. “This year, we want to be known as an unbreakable team. What he refers to is a diamond and how you can’t really break a diamond unless you put a lot of pressure to it. We just want to be that team that’s unbreakable no matter what situation we’re in. All the guys understand the goal we want to get to, and individually, a lot of guys are working on being unbreakable in this offseason and this camp, you know, which is working on being relentless and tough.”

Being unbreakable is something the Crimson Tide want to be in 2025, especially in road environments. Every 2024 Alabama loss happened on the road, so this is definitely an appropriate approach for the Tide this year.

This motto will be put to the test week one when Alabama travels to Tallahassee to play Florida State, an environment that will feature the band playing in unison with the fans’ War Chant.
