With 48 hours left in 2024, college football fans will get to ring in the new year with an exciting slate of bowl games.
This New Year's Eve will boast five bowl matchups — including the first of four College Football Playoff clashes.
Here's a look at what viewers can expect when they tune to their televisions before the ball drops:
Alabama and Michigan will get the party started at noon in the ReliaQuest Bowl at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. Followed by a matchup between Louisville and UW in El Paso at the Sun Bowl.
Then a pair of ranked teams will face-off in the Citrus Bowl when the Gamecocks and Fighting Illini do battle at Camping World Stadium in Orlando. Texas and Baylor will then set the stage for the main event with a late afternoon game in the Texas Bowl at NRG Stadium in Houston.
Finally, James Franklin and the Nittany Lions will look to advance to the semifinals against Heisman Trophy runner-up Ashton Jeanty and the Boise State Broncos. That'll set the stage for the remainder of the Playoff games which will all get underway on Jan. 1.
