Running backs and Penn State football seem to continue to find each other. The Nittany Lions have proven to not only recruit some of the top talent in the country but they have been able to help them to their careers to the next level. It appears that both Nicholas Singleton and Kaytron Allen are on the same path. This makes recruiting the position a lot easier but the Nittany Lions face their top challenge in the 2025 recruiting class so far. As they work to secure running back Bo Jackson from Ohio.

Top 5 RB in 2025 set to re-visit Penn State football this Spring

Bo Jackson is currently listed as the No. 4 running back in the 2025 recruiting class according to 247Sports. The four-star prospect from Cleveland, OH sits just outside the top 100 players in the cycle. He holds offers from Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, Ohio State, Penn State, and several other schools.

Jackson currently holds a crystal ball to commit to Ohio State, however, that has not stopped him from booking additional visits this Spring. Now, Director of Recruiting for 247Sports Steve Wiltfong reports that Jackson will return to Penn State football on March 16th for a visit. This will be his second visit as he attended the Nittany Lion win over Rutgers last November.

2025 running back commits

The Nittany Lions already have two running back commits in the 2025 recruiting class. However, when you have a chance to haul in one of the best running backs in the cycle you chase that opportunity. Currently, Penn State has a commitment from KiAndrea Barker a four-star prospect from Woodlands, TX.

Penn State also holds a commitment from three-star RB Tiqwai Hayes from Aliquippa, PA. If the Nittany Lions can secure Jackson as well this running back room could be a three-headed monster for years to come.
