Oregon Ducks head coach Dan Lanning isn't quite having the success on the recruiting trail that he's seen in years past.
Heading into June -- a pivotal month for Lanning -- Oregon ranks No. 29 in the nation for its 2026 recruiting class, according to 247Sports.
Landing a couple of pivotal five-star talents could shake up the 2026 class in a major way, however, and Lanning and the Ducks are pursuing quarterback Ryder Lyons and offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho.
The two five-stars would be major additions for Lanning's squad, though they aren't the only blue-chip prospects Oregon is aiming to land.
This weekend, the top athlete in the world, Brandon Arrington, will be in Eugene with Lanning and the Ducks' staff on an official visit, which he moved up to take sooner.
Another five-star talent will be joining Arrington in visiting, too, as Tyler Atkinson, the top linebacker in the 2026 recruiting class, will also be on an official visit with Oregon.
"Five-Star LB Tyler Atkinson will take an Official Visit to Oregon this weekend," Hayes Fawcett shared on X.

The 6-foot-2, 205-pound linebacker from Lawrenceville, Georgia, would be a major get for Lanning and co. after losing a five-star commitment from Richard Wesley a week ago.
While Lanning's 2026 class doesn't quite have the starpower it has in recent years, there's reason to believe the Ducks can heat up on the trail and climb the rankings.
On top of having a leg up in the NIL department, Oregon -- with Lanning at the helm -- has done well with developing talent and having Ducks make the NFL.
Oregon will continue to make major recruiting moves, and landing the top linebacker in the nation would be massive, especially as they'd have to beat out Georgia and others in Atkinson's recruitment.
