Travis Hunter stepped foot onto Folsom Field for the final time before heading off to the NFL.
The former Colorado two-way star and Heisman Trophy winner accepted his degree in CU's commencement ceremony on Thursday. This comes a day before Hunter reports to rookie minicamp in Jacksonville on Friday.
The most outstanding college football player was selected No. 2 overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2025 NFL Draft after the team traded up to get him. Hunter's journey now takes the biggest turn as a two-way player in the NFL.
Colorado Buffaloes football X account posted a video with Hunter coming out of the ceremony. The caption read, "Got that degree." He's a first-generation college graduate.

Hunter now focuses on his NFL career, which starts in his home state of Florida. The Jaguars got a steal for what the Buffs' star will be able to do on the field. Outside of being a receiver and cornerback, Hunter showed off his ability to throw downfield and recently told Jaguars head coach Liam Coen he grew up playing under center.
Hunter is extremely rare in football and in the classroom. He's one of only three college football players to win eight major awards and was also a unanimous first-team All-American, earning seven first-team (and eight overall) honors from the five publications the NCAA uses to determine unanimous and consensus honors. Hunter is also the first player in the history of the Walter Camp All-America team, the nation's oldest, to earn two first-team honors, and is the first known player to earn two first-team and three overall honors on the AP team.
In the classroom, Hunter was named first-team Academic All-American by College Sports Communicators and was also named the Academic All-American of the Year, just the second in school history, for all of Division I Football.
Hunter will report to Jaguars camp on Friday and is expected to turn heads in Jacksonville.
