As players disperse to their hometowns at the conclusion of spring practice and academic semesters, you never know what news will emerge. On Monday morning, Missouri announced that their star running back, Ahmad Hardy, had been shot at a concert on Sunday.

Hardy, who is from Oma, Mississippi and was born in Brookhaven, transferred to Missouri from Louisiana-Monroe prior to the 2025 season. In his one season with the Tigers, he led the SEC with 1,649 yards, and 6.4 yards per carry. He was finalist for the Doak Walker Award, which is given to the nation’s top running back and named a first-team All-SEC player.

Expect more information to be released regarding this unfortunate situation as the day and week progresses.
