Two Clemson Stars Crack ESPN’s Top 10 Wide Receiver Rankings for 2025

Clemson’s passing game might not have had the flash of Ohio State or Alabama in recent years, but that narrative is quickly changing.

In a recent ESPN feature ranking the top 10 wide receivers in college football for 2025, the Tigers landed not one, but two receivers on the list — a clear sign that Garrett Riley’s offense is turning a corner and Clemson is primed for a resurgence.

Antonio Williams came in at No. 6 overall after a resurgent 2024 campaign that silenced critics. A former Freshman All-American, Williams bounced back from an injury-riddled 2023 to post career highs across the board: 75 catches, 904 yards and 12 total touchdowns. His consistent production and reliability in clutch moments helped bring Clemson’s wide receiver corps back to national relevance. Williams is also drawing attention for his work on special teams, averaging nearly 10 yards per punt return.

Just two spots behind him is sophomore Bryant Wesco Jr., who was ranked No. 8. Despite missing time due to an ankle injury, Wesco’s explosive freshman season included several long touchdowns and a monster performance in the ACC Championship Game. Nine of his 41 catches went for 34 yards or more — a stat that jumps off the page and highlights his big-play ability.

Ohio State’s Jeremiah Smith was the clear-cut No. 1 on the list after a 1,300-yard, 16-touchdown season, with Alabama’s Ryan Williams right behind him at No. 2. But Clemson fans have every reason to believe their duo could join that elite tier in 2025.

With both Williams and Wesco healthy and more experience at quarterback, Clemson’s offense suddenly looks loaded with firepower — and national respect is following close behind.
