Two former Auburn quarterbacks will be playing in Conference Championship games
Soobum Im-USA TODAY Sports

It's time for the most exciting week of the college football season, which is conference championship week.

Two former Auburn quarterbacks will take the field, although one of them has changed positions.

We will see Bo Nix quarterback the Oregon Ducks against the Washington Huskies in the Pac-12 Championship game.

The Ducks are currently ranked 5th in the College Football Playoff rankings, so this is a must win if Nix wants to be in the big dance.

Nix will likely be a finalist for the Heisman Trophy, so it has been a big season for the former Tiger.

Another former Auburn quarterback will be playing in a conference championship game as Joey Gatewood will lead the Louisville Cardinals against the Florida State Seminoles in the ACC Championship.

Since his time on the Plains, Gatewood has changed to play the tight end position, where he has caught nine passes for 150 yards and three touchdowns this season.

The Seminoles are banged up at the quarterback position, so the Cardinals have a real shot at bringing home the ACC Championship.

It will be exciting to see these former Tigers compete for conference championships on the big stage.

It will take a big game from Nix for the Ducks to take down the talented Huskies, but this game will surely have plenty of offensive fireworks.
