Two more staffers officially announce they are with Alabama football via social media

Kalen DeBoer has filled two more roles on his coaching staff at the University of Alabama.

He retained Robert Gillespie and Freddie Roach from Nick Saban’s coaching staff, promoting both to assistant head coach and associate head coach. Two more assistants have made it official on social media they are with the Crimson Tide.

Jay Nunez, a former special teams analyst at Oklahoma, has “Special Teams Coordinator – Alabama” in his X (formerly Twitter) bio.

Amy Bragg, who served as Alabama’s Director of Performance Nutrition, assisted the Crimson Tide to several national championships under Coach Saban. She prepared all athletes to be monsters on the field with the right diet and nutrition.

Bragg was not retained as DeBoer bought Ali VandenBerghe from Washington. VandenBerghe takes over as the new “Director of Performance Nutrition.” She prepared the Huskies for a remarkable season in 2023, getting players in the right shape to win a Pac-12 Championship and advance into the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.

DeBoer is looking forward to winning championships with his staff in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
