Two former Gators were inducted into the Florida-Georgia Hall of Fame on September 15, 2022. Trey Burton and Andre Caldwell, become the most recent inductees of The Florida-Georgia Hall of Fame. The Florida-Georgia Hall of Fame has celebrated great college football players that played for the University of Florida and the University of Georgia.

2022 Florida-Georgia Hall of Fame Inductee Trey Burton

Coming out of Venice High School, Trey Burton was a three-star quarterback. After committing to Florida, where Burton spent his four-year college career, he played his freshman season as a quarterback. Although he only completed four of six passes for 86 yards. He would then transition to running back where he would rush 75 times for 349 yards and 11 touchdowns. Over his four-year career, Burton rushed 153 times for 720 yards and caught 107 passes for 976 yards and four touchdowns.  After his college career, he signed with the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2014, where he won a Superbowl with the team in 2017. Then in that Superbowl, he became known for his part in the Philly Special. Over his seven-year pro career, Burton played tight end for the Eagles, Bears, and Colts. Over that span, he had 159 catches for 1532 yards.

2022 Florida-Georgia Hall of Fame Inductee Andre Caldwell

Andre Caldwell was a five-star receiver coming out of Jefferson High School in 2003. He committed to and played five seasons with the Florida Gators. Then during his five seasons with the Gators, Caldwell would catch 185 passes for 2349 yards and 16 touchdowns. After his five seasons with the Gators he would be drafted in the third round, 97th overall in the 2008 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals. He played four seasons with the Bengals and four seasons with the Denver Broncos. Over his eight-year career with the Bengals and Broncos Caldwell had 156 catches for 1509 yards and 11 touchdowns.

These two players left lasting impacts on Gators fans and in return were honored as members of the Florida-Georgia Hall of Fame. Congratulations to two very impactful players who were able to leave their mark on a storied program.
