Ty Simpson is confident in the offensive weapons Alabama football has at its disposal under new offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb.
Simpson is the frontrunner in the Crimson Tide’s current quarterback competition, and he looks to take control of the Alabama offense in 2025. The redshirt junior feels the upcoming edition of Alabama football will be defined by its physicality and its ability to play as a team.
“We are going to be the most physical team, the most close-knit team because we’re going to play together,” Simpson said while talking with media members at the Manning Passing Academy. “We’re going to play as one, but also we’re going to hit you in the mouth.”
Alabama’s offense is expected to feature some talented skill players and an offensive line with high expectations. Simpson feels this combination of talents will keep defenses on their toes.
“Offensively, we’re going to be very explosive and make guys cover every inch of the field,” said Simpson. “We got a great line coming back with Parker (Brailsford), Geno (Vandemark), Kam Dewberry transferring in, KP (Kadyn Proctor) at the left tackle, Wilkin Formby, Olaus (Alinen) coming along and Jaeden Roberts. I mean, those guys are machines up there. Then our wideouts, Ryan (Williams), you got Isaiah (Horton) Germ (Germie Bernard), Rico Scott, freshmen who nobody knows about yet. And then our running backs, man, they’ve done a great job. So. I’m looking forward to this team.”
