UCLA Football: Ethan Garbers Shines as Bruins Rout Boise State to Win LA Bowl
USA TODAY Sports

The drought is over! The UCLA Bruins earned their first postseason victory since the 2015 Alama Bowl with their 35-22 win over the Boise State Broncos. They won the LA Bowl in front of a rowdy crowd at Sofi Stadium, sending them off into the offseason with a huge win.

The Bruins trailed at halftime but used a dominant third quarter to pull out the victory. UCLA outscored the Broncos 21-0 in the third quarter to take control of the game. It was an impressive game all around for this team and one that leaves many wondering what could have been all season.

Quarterback Ethan Garbers shined in the game, throwing for 152 yards and two touchdowns. He didn't start the game, but after he came in, the offense started to shine.

They look much better when he is under center, and it shows how productive the offense is. UCLA looks crisper with Garbers running the show, and it helped them earn the big victory over Boise State.

Wide receiver J.Michael Sturdivant was the main target on offense, putting up four catches for 142 yards and a score. He made the Boise State defense look silly at different times, and UCLA took advantage of his strong game.

This was the type of game that the Bruins needed before they headed off for the offseason, and it was a special moment for the seniors on the team. Heading into the game, the seniors wanted to end things with a bang, and they were able to do just that.

Despite being shorthanded from players entering the transfer portal or opting out, the Bruins found a way to get things done. Next stop for UCLA, the Big Ten Conference.
