UC's Leading Tackler in 2023 Entering Transfer Portal

UC football linebacker Deshawn Pace is entering the transfer portal for a different opportunity during his final year of college eligibility.

Pace announced the decision on Tuesday as UC prepares to lose its top tackler this past season (80 tackles).

Pace is graduating soon and has been a central part of UC's success since entering the program in 2020. He's earned PFF grades of at least 64 or better in each of the past three seasons. Pace notched a 69.6 grade this past season (sixth among UC defenders).

He's totaled 247 tackles, 3 sacks, and 6 interceptions as a Bearcat.
