In college football rivalries, it seems that almost anything is fair game. After your USC Trojans were defeated by their loathed crosstown rival, the UCLA Bruins, the Trojans deserved all the trash talk headed their way.

Reigning Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Caleb Williams struggled against UCLA, throwing for 384 yards with one touchdown and one interception. He wasn't the reason why the Trojans lost the game, but his stats felt empty.

After the game, Bruins quarterback Ethan Garbers took to social media and mocked Williams. He referenced a post made by Williams after the Trojans beat UCLA last season.

Williams played well last year in their win over UCLA, so he felt the need to make the post. Now it was Garbers turn to show out, and he took it to the star quarterback.

Garbers outplayed Williams in the game, so he is allowed to boast like this. It's all in good fun, and the Trojans did it to themselves by not showing up against the Bruins.

It was a tough game all around for the Trojans, and they were down from the opening kickoff. It felt like the Bruins were in control the whole time, and it was a frustrating end to the season.

USC finished the year dropping five of their last six contests, and it's going to be a long summer for them. Williams will be heading to the NFL, and USC will be going to the Big-10.

The Trojans will need to figure out how to build a more well-rounded team this offseason, otherwise, they will see more of the same next season. The Victory Bell belongs to the Bruins for the next year, but make no mistake, the Trojans will be coming for it next season.
