USC Football: Departing Senior Sheds Light On 4-Star Incoming Freshman Brother

The USC Trojans have lost a ton of players a month from their final regular season game of the 2023 season. The season didn't end as well as many thought it would; however, that now opens the door for a new beginning.

One of the players who will leave USC for the NFL Draft is safety Max Williams. Williams announced he would take his talents to the next level. The Williams name will live on in USC lore as his younger brother, Marcelles Williams, will be the next to don the cardinal red and gold. 

Marcelles is one of the best cornerbacks in the nation from high school powerhouse St. John Bosco. Max will move on, but he will always be a Trojan and root for his younger brother. In a recent interview with LA Times staff writer Thuc Nhi Nguyen, Max says he cannot wait to see his younger brother at USC and is excited to see him ball out. 

“It was also his dream to become a Trojan,” Max said. “I’m excited for him. I feel like he can do big things.”

The younger Williams is coming into USC as a four-star recruit and is ranked as the number five player in his position and number six player in California for his class, according to 247Sports. 

Marcelles will stay home, play where his brother played, and look to make an even more significant impact than Max ever did. The future looks bright with Marcelles, and with the addition of defensive coordinator D'Anton Lynn, USC looks threatening.

We cannot wait to see Marcelles do his thing in Southern California, and we wish Max the best at the next level.
