As the college football season transitions to the offseason, a couple of powerhouse programs across the country face major questions.
One of the many programs looking to improve from a disappointing season is the USC Trojans, fresh off their first season in the Big Ten.
The Trojans finished the season with a 7-6 record and a 4-5 mark in Big Ten play.
Following the season, USC made a much-needed change on the defensive end, announcing the hiring of cornerbacks coach Trovon Reed.
Reed will be coaching for his third team at the collegiate level after spending one season with the UCF Knights (2024) and a few years at Auburn (2021 to 2024) as a player relations coordinator and director of football.

While Reed has experience as a cornerbacks coach, he brings in a player's-coach atmosphere, having played the position in college and the NFL.
Reed played for the Auburn Tigers from 2010 to 2015, finishing his collegiate career as a two-time SEC champion and national champion (2010).
He then spent time with the St. Louis Rams, Miami Dolphins, Los Angeles Chargers, Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers during his professional career, which spanned from 2015 to 2020.
Trojans head coach Lincoln Riley began his tenure at USC in 2022. While he started his time with the Trojans on a strong note, finishing the season with an 11-3 record, USC has run into a bit of a rut.
They've gone 15-11 in the past two seasons, looking to improve in their search for a national title.
