Utah Doing All it Can to Bring Star WR Dorian Singer Back in 2025

Dorian Singer was undisputably the best wide receiver for the Utes in 2024, and while it was meant to be his last collegiate campaign, new developments could see him back with the program in 2025.

New Utah quarterback Devon Dampier and Dorian Singer are best friends, and after the Vanderbilt quarterback earned another year due to mishandling of a redshirt season, talk immediately began regarding the talented wideout's return.

In his first press conference of 2025, head coach Kyle Whittingham gave an update on the efforts to bring Singer back for one more year and pair him with Dampier.

"We're doing all that we can to get Dorian another year. Once the Vanderbilt QB got another year, it opened the door for us. The NC 2 A could potentially go to five seasons of eligibility too," Whittingham said

Before these comments, a return for the former Arizona and USC wideout seemed like nothing more than a pipe dream, but with Coach Whitt's comments legitimizing the efforts to retain him, a reunion of childhood friends could genuinely happen.

Should Singer be able to return to Salt Lake City, he would immediately slot in as the WR1, giving Dampier a familiar target right out of the gate while also easing a pressing transfer portal need for the program.
