Five-star class of 2024 edge rusher Colin Simmons said it's "about that time to figure where's home," he tweeted Tuesday.

Simmons, the No. 1 player in the Lone Star State and the top edge rusher in the class of 2024 told On3's Hayes Fawcett he will be taking an unofficial visit to the Texas A&M Aggies this summer. Simmons' abilities produced 79 tackles, 33 for loss, and a Duncanville High School record 22.5 sacks in 2022, which garnered comparison to another dominant Aggie pass rusher.

"Colin Simmon's physical tools and prolific pass rush skills remind us of fellow south Dallas product Von Miller," On3 wrote. "Like Miller, Simmons is a dominant high school pass rusher with rare first-step quickness, bend and effort in pursuit. Both were around the same size at the same stage."

Simmons received an offer at Texas A&M's Junior Day on Jan. 29, 2022, and took his first unofficial visit on April 1.

The Duncanville, TX. native told On3 his top two are Texas and LSU "head to head," but that Texas A&M is "up there for sure too" because friends of his mom and his family "pressure me to stay in-state."

On3's commitment prediction algorithm has LSU leading in the Simmons sweepstakes while receiving a crystal ball to the Tigers from 247Sports' Steve Wiltfong.

If he commits to the Aggies, he will be the fifth-highest Texas A&M recruit in program history.
