With Shedeur Sanders moving on to the NFL in two weeks, there is a two-man QB battle brewing in Boulder.
Kaidon Salter came to Colorado with dreams of finishing out his final year with Deion Sanders and the pro-style offense guided by Pat Shurmur. The transfer from Liberty has one shot to get it right and knows five-star commit Julian Lewis is waiting in the wings.

Colorado assistant Warren Sapp remained Salter of his role going into next season. “When you have that ball in your hand, you’re carrying the hopes and dreams of this whole university," Sapp said.
Although neither Salter or Lewis have been named the Buffs starting QB, this is a 'last dance' moment for the former Flames signal-caller.
Salter accounted for 7,900 yards, 77 total touchdowns, and 17 interceptions as a three-year starter at Liberty. One of the most experienced transfer players from the last cycle with the capability to throw 70-yard bombs.
As for Lewis, the Peachtree State passer was highly sought after last year. He originally committed to USC and flipped for Sanders and the Buffs. Other programs wanted 'JuJu' but the NFL ties and next-level leadership brought him to Colorado.
Sapp is one of the many former NFL player turned coaches on Prime’s staff, including Marshall Faulk, Jason Phillips, Andre Gurode, and Domata Peko. Sanders staff pushed past 150 years, including years spent directly with the league.
