Charlotte, N.C. – Since the WVU offense failed to score again throughout the rest of the first half of the Duke’s Mayo Bowl, Beanie Bishop eventually took the matter into his own hands.
Bishop returned a punt 78 yards to the house, giving the Mountaineers their second touchdown of the game.

This return was actually the first for the WVU program since one by Tavon Austin in 2012.
And now Beanie Bishop adds WVU's first punt return for a touchdown since 2012 to his resume. One hell of a complete lone season for the transfer. https://t.co/ShUhkiIsxA

The Tar Heels would answer with a touchdown drive off their own, making the score 14-10.
