A STAR IS BORN FOR @CUBuffsFootball pic.twitter.com/vz8vhUVrJ4
Hunter, the No. 1 overall prospect of the 2022 recruiting class, quickly showed why he was such a highly touted player out of high school with his incredible interception in the red zone to stop a TCU scoring threat.
Horned Frogs quarterback Chandler Morris appeared to have an easy touchdown before Hunter made the leaping interception.
Hunter is a two-way phenom, contributing heavily on offense as well. Midway through the fourth quarter, he led the Buffaloes with 10 receptions.
In the second quarter, he nearly had an incredible touchdown reception before replay review showed his right foot stepped out of bounds before he had possession.

It's only fitting, then, that he got payback by taking away a sure touchdown on TCU's end.
Hunter originally committed to Jackson State to learn under Deion Sanders, who was a two-way star himself in the NFL, most prominently with the Dallas Cowboys in 1996 when he had 36 receptions to go along with two interceptions.
As a freshman last year, Hunter had 18 receptions for 190 yards and four touchdowns. On defense, he added eight pass deflections and two interceptions for 44 yards.
He was a difference-maker there and is quickly establishing himself as a must-watch player in 2023.
Hunter's head coach is already promoting his Heisman campaign.

"He is him," Sanders said. "We missed him on two deep balls. He get those two deep balls, the Heisman is at his crib chillin' right now."
