North Carolina came into the 2024 season with the plan to have Max Johnson as their starter but would rotate in third-year sophomore Conner Harrell. However, after Johnson suffered a season-ending injury in the Tar Heels' season-opening win at Minnesota, Harrell is now the starter quarterback for UNC. Harrell has one career start and has seen action in six career games. He has completed 64.8% of the passes he's thrown for 304 yards and two touchdowns. He also has 72 career rushing yards and a rushing touchdown. The Harrell era at North Carolina starts this Saturday against the Charlotte 49ers.
