After Jackson State knocked off Alabama State, 26-12, on Saturday, nothing seemed amiss. That is until the postgame handshake between head coaches Deion Sanders and Eddie Robinson Jr.
After the Tigers' win, Sanders and Robinson met a midfield before having a heated exchange, which left the Jackson State coach with a bewildered face.
According to Sanders, he tried to "embrace" the Hornets' head man, but Robinson pushed him away before walking off angrily.

"It could be a plethora of things," Sanders said about the incident. "I think he thought he was going to get a win. I don't know why he would've ever thought that."
Sanders said Robinson was upset that he hadn't greeted him pregame without knowing that Jackson State arrived late to the game due to traffic congestion in the area.
"I don't know if you understand but we got here very late," Sanders said. "So that expedited our whole process of preparation.'"
Unsurprisingly, Robinson told a different story after the game.
Robinson said Sanders had disrespected Alabama State all week leading up to the game and mentioned Sanders' absence from the field pregame. He also alleged that Sanders walked through the Alabama State team huddle before the start of the game to get to his sideline.
"You're not going to come here and disrespect me and my team and my school and then want to bro hug me," Robinson said. "Shake my hand and get the hell on."

After Saturday's brouhaha, it's safe to say Robinson would like another shot at Sanders and Jackson State next year.
"I pray he don't get a Power 5 job and we play them next year in Jackson, and I pray they put us for their homecoming," Robinson said.
