Linebacker Marlowe Wax was the leader of the defense for the Syracuse Orange, and he set a high standard with his play. Wax finished the season as Orange's leader in total tackles, tackles for loss, and forced fumbles. He was fifth in the ACC with 101.0 total tackles and first in the conference with four forced fumbles.
