Nebraska football fans have been waiting impatiently for the day when Dylan Raiola takes the field in a Husker uniform and the five-star signal-caller did just that on Monday.

It was the first day of spring practice for Nebraska football and while it was a closed session, the Huskers posted a video wrapping up their first day.

There wasn’t much to glean as it was only about 15 seconds long. There were also a bunch of different frames put together — making it hard to know what you’re looking at.

However, in one of the frames, you can clearly see No. 15, Dylan Raiola, wearing a Nebraska football helmet, lofting a beautiful pass into the air.

If you keep following the video, it’s an absolute rainbow that eventually drops into the hands of another Nebraska football player.

You also get a look at returning quarterback Heinrich Haarberg, who won five games as a starter last season for the Huskers. He’s one of just three scholarship quarterbacks. Freshman Daniel Kaelin is the other but we didn’t see him in the short video clip.

This was the first of three practices this week. The Huskers will be back on the field Tuesday and also Thursday for what’s supposed to be a session open to the media.

Nebraska football will hold its annual spring game on April 27th, which should be an exciting day as fans will see their quarterbacks of the future for the first time in Lincoln Memorial Stadium.

As far as Raiola, it was just one pass, but like most Nebraska fans, I could watch that dude spin the football all day and soon enough, we’ll see him do it during a game.
