After a tight first quarter left the SMU Mustangs up 3-0, junior quarterback Kevin Jennings took control of the game. In the second quarter, Jennings led the Mustangs on multiple scoring drives, throwing three consecutive touchdown passes to give SMU a commanding lead. He ultimately finished 29 of 35 for 285 passing yards and 4 touchdowns.
