The Syracuse Orange fought hard but ended up losing their season opener to No. 24 Tennessee, 45-26. Syracuse Quarterback Steve Angeli threw for 274 yards on 23-40 passing with a TD and an interception while Yasin Willis ran the ball 23 times for 91 yards and 3 touchdowns in the loss.
