After J'Mari Taylor scored on the first possession of overtime, the Tar Heels answered with a Davion Gause score and elected to try the 2-point conversion for the win. The Cavaliers sniffed out the play and stopped Benjamin Hall from short to seal the win. It was a defensive battle throughout, but Chandler Morris made plays when needed and finished with 200 yards on 20-35 passing with a touchdown toss and an interception. Gio Lopez completed 23-36 passes for 208 yards with a touchdown pass and 2 interceptions in a losing effort.
