Wake Forest vs. Georgia Tech: After going 4-7 the previous season, the 16th-ranked Demon Deacons had one of the more surprising and miraculous season that ended with their second ACC Football Championship. Wake Forest went 10-2 and defeated the 23rd-ranked Yellow Jackets 9-6 in the 2006 ACC Championship Game. Wake Forest field goal kicker Sam Swank made three field goals, including the game-winner with 2:55 left in the fourth quarter, and was named the game's MVP. Wake Forest's defense picked off Georgia Tech's Reggie Ball two times. Demon Deacon's Riley Skinner was 14-25 for 201 yards. Calvin Johnson caught eight passes for 117 yards for Georgia Tech.
