Anticipation is building as the release of EA College Football 26 is approaching, and EA Sports revealed which teams are ranked in their top 10 for the new game.
The Alabama Crimson Tide is the highest-rated program in EA College Football 26 with an 89 overall team rating.
Texas, Ohio State, Penn State, Notre Dame, Georgia, Clemson and Texas A&M are behind the Tide with each of them having an 88 overall team rating. Rounding out the top 10 is Oregon and LSU with an 86 overall team rating.
Individual player ratings haven’t been revealed yet, but a screenshot from an early look at the game showed Ryan Williams as a 97 overall player, which means he could have the best rating out of any Alabama player.
EA also released their top 10 highest-rated offenses and defenses, and Alabama is featured in both of those rankings.
The Crimson Tide offense comes in at an 89 overall on offense, which ranks seventh in the game. On the other side of the ball, Alabama has the highest defensive rating with a 96 overall. This rating ties 2024 Ohio State as the highest overall a defense has gotten since the return of the beloved franchise in 2024.
When comparing Alabama’s ratings at the time of release from EA College Football 25 to EA College Football 26, Alabama’s offense dropped from a 91 overall to an 89 overall while the defense improved from a 92 overall to a 96 overall.
Also, the rankings for the toughest environment to play in were released a few days ago with Bryant-Denny Stadium coming in at No. 5.
EA College Football 26 is set to release on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 worldwide on July 10.
