Texas is riding a wave of momentum on the recruiting trail.

After a few big recruiting weekends throughout the month of June, the Longhorns received two massive commitments over the last two days. On Saturday, four-star defensive lineman Vodney Cleveland announced his commitment to Texas. He ranks as the No. 4 defensive lineman in the nation, according to 247Sports.

The good news kept coming on Sunday.

Five-star edge Richard Wesley, who was once committed to Oregon, verbally committed to the Longhorns following his official visit. Wesley is ranked the No. 4 edge in the nation per On3's industry ranking. Rivals ranks Wesley as the No. 1 edge in the country.

Following the commitments of Cleveland and Wesley, Texas skyrocketed up the recruiting ranks. Prior to the addition of the talented duo, the Longhorns held the No. 21 recruiting class. Now, Texas is sitting at No. 9 in the nation.

Texas' class consists of 15 players at this time. The group is lead by five-star quarterback Dia Bell and five-star athlete Jermaine Bishop. Cleveland and Wesley are the highest ranked defensive players in the class.

USC currently holds the No. 1 class in the nation with 30 total commits, followed by Texas A&M (19 commits), Notre Dame (19 commits), Georgia (19 commits), Ohio State (16 commits), Clemson (19 commits), Penn State (20 commits) and Miami (15 commits).

Steve Sarkisian and his staff are on the right path to bring in another top-five class in the country.
