The LSU Tigers are going into Saturday's clash with the Alabama Crimson Tide 6-2 overall record, but their 3-1 conference record might be more important.
The Tigers have aspirations to make the College Football Playoff and they might need to run the table to get there, especially with two losses. Of all the teams that have one loss, the Tigers have played just one of those teams in Texas A&M and they lost that game 38-23.
It's not just a rivalry game for the Tigers, it's a must-win for their playoff lives.
Kickoff: 6:30 p.m. CT, November 9th, Tiger Stadium, Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Where to watch: ABC, ESPN+
Announcers: Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit
This is going to be a game that focuses a lot on the quarterback position. The Crimson Tide's Jalen Milore is one of the more intriguing athletes in the nation. He is big, strong and explosive with is legs and arm talent. There is a lot of inconsistency with his game but his ability to generate explosive plays has been a huge factor in the success of the Crimson Tide.
For the Tigers, the emergence of Garrett Nussmeier has been huge. He's got a certain moxie about him in the pocket that allows him to make plays down the field. Like with Milroe, inconsistencies mar his game and hinder him from being more explosive on offense. The game will likely come down to which quarterback will play better.
