Texas quarterback Arch Manning is known for being a more versatile athlete than his NFL uncles, Peyton and Eli. On Friday, we learned that Manning's athleticism extends to the basketball court.
On Friday, a clip of Manning displaying his high vertical jump surfaced on social media. The X account for "Overtime" posted a video of Arch throwing down a highlight dunk with the caption, "Arch Manning can windmill?!?!" Rivals' Orangebloods reposted the video with the caption, "Arch had wings long before he signed with Red Bull."
Given Manning's 6-foot-4 stature and the speed and strength he displayed as a runner last season, it's reasonable that Arch would have a strong vertical jump as well. Still, what we know of his athleticism didn't make the highlight any less impressive.
Manning enters his first offseason as the projected Texas starter at quarterback after consecutive College Football Playoff Semifinal appearances with Quinn Ewers. Even so, there is some optimism the Longhorns could achieve even more with Manning leading the offense.
Arch and the Longhorns will begin the 2025 season on the road against the Ohio State Buckeyes on Aug. 30.
