It feels like a lifetime ago but Ohio State got its College Football Playoff campaign underway against Tennessee in December.

Ohio State was under a lot of pressure going into that game since it lost to Michigan for a fourth straight season. Ohio State met that pressure in a big way by blowing out Tennessee by 25, 42-17.

Ohio State jumped out to a 21-0 lead after the first quarter and had a 35-10 lead entering the fourth quarter.

From that point on, the Buckeyes showed that they were the best team in the country, running the table to win the CFP National Championship. They beat the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the National Championship Game.

Even though it's been almost four months since they beat the Vols, Buckeyes quarterback Will Howard still can't believe that the Vols came out with no shirts on.

"The funny thing is, is that they came out with their shirts off and they ran over to the opposite end zone and immediately put them back on. I was like, 'What the (expletive) are these clowns doing, man?'" Howard told Jon Gruden.

Howard started throughout the 2024 season for the Buckeyes before helping them win the title. He is currently prepping for the 2025 NFL Draft while Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day is still having some spring practices with his team.

Howard finished the 2024 season with 4,010 yards through the air, 35 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. It was his only season with the Buckeyes after spending the first four seasons of his collegiate career with the Kansas State Wildcats.
