The Wisconsin football team took their first step towards restocking the quarterback room after gaining a commitment from QB Danny O'Neil, a transfer from San Diego State.

O'Neil earned the starting job for the Aztecs as a true freshman, throwing for 2,181 yards and 12 touchdowns while completing 63.3% of his passes.

According to PFF, O'Neil had a passing grade of 75.0, putting him at No. 31 among all quarterbacks with at least 375 dropbacks.

With the addition of O'Neil, the Badgers quarterback room includes O'Neil, Mabrey Mettauer, Milos Spasojevic, and incoming freshman Carter Smith heading into the 2025 season.

The Badgers are still looking to add another quarterback to the room to create some competition for the starting spot next year. Accoring to various reports, Wisconsin has been also linked to Fernando Mendoza (Cal) and Billy Edwards (Maryland).

The Badgers have been very active in the portal. O'Neil is the fourth player they have added via the transfer portal so far with more expected in the future.
