Bell should have plenty of suitors on the open market — and will have two years of eligibility remaining.

Wisconsin Football WR Skyler Bell Enters the Transfer Portal 

Skyler Bell was among the top five wide receivers in the Badgers’ rotation during the Wisconsin football season. Nevertheless, Bell was viewed as a slot wideout in Phil Longo’s offense — and was behind the team’s leading receiver, Will Pauling, on the depth chart.

There is also plenty of up-and-coming depth vying for snaps, such as Vinny Anthony III, Trech Kekahuna, and incoming four-star freshman Kyan Berry-Johnson, whom Bell had to consider moving forward.

Bell appeared in 26 games during his career at the University of Wisconsin, accumulating 69 catches for 755 yards and six touchdowns. He also carried the ball 13 times for an additional 160 yards rushing.

This past season, the 6-foot WR appeared in all 12 games, played 374 snaps, according to Pro Football Focus, was targeted 58 times, and hauled in 38 passes for 296 yards (4th on the team) and a touchdown.

Bell initially joined the Wisconsin football program as a member of the 2021 recruiting class under former head coach Paul Chryst. He was considered a three-star prospect and held offers from Georgia Tech, Iowa, Northwestern, Rutgers, Virginia, and several other schools.

The speedy wide receiver is now the fourth known Wisconsin football player to enter the transfer portal this offseason — joining Badgers center Dylan Barrett, quarterback Myles Burkett, and linebacker Ross Gengler.
