WVU Football in Contact with Penn State Transfer WR

WVU Football has reached out to Penn State transfer WR KeAndre Lambert-Smith as reported by On3 Sports on Tuesday. Lambert-Smith is the top available wide receiver available as the spring portal window opened for football this week.

Lambert-Smith has also heard from Auburn, Colorado, Georgia and Texas A&M since entering the transfer portal on Monday.

Lambert-Smith spent four seasons with the Nittany Lions, accumulating over 1,700 yards during his PSU career. The 6-foot-1 receiver recorded 673 yards with 53 receptions and four touchdowns. Lambert-Smith gave the Mountaineers trouble during week one, scoring two touchdowns with 123 yards. Lambert-Smith was able to average 5.7 receptions and 12.6 yards per catch during the first nine games of his senior season.

Lambert-Smith has one year of eligibility remaining.

Out of high school, Lambert-Smith was a four-star prospect out of Maury High School in Norfolk, Va.

During spring ball, West Virginia’s wide receiver room consists of Rodney Gallagher, Jaden Bray, Traylon Ray, Jarel Williams, EJ Horton, Graeson Malashevich, Tyler Evans, Preston Fox, CJ Cole and Hudson Clement.

West Virginia will host Penn State on Aug. 31 at Milan Puskar Stadium to open the 2024 season. PSU defeated WVU at State College, 38-15, last year.
