WVU Reaches Out to Michigan State Tight End Transfer
USA TODAY Sports

The West Virginia Mountaineers finally received some production out of the tight end position this season and it's clear that they would like to add to that room this offseason.

WVU hosted Elon transfer Johncarlos Miller II on a visit over the weekend and on Sunday night, they sent out an offer to Michigan State transfer Maliq Carr.

Carr began his collegiate career at Purdue but transferred out after just one year. He's doubled his numbers every season he's been at Michigan State, finishing this season with 30 receptions for 352 yards and three touchdowns.

At the moment, West Virginia is his only official offer since entering the portal.

Coming out of Oak Park, Michigan in 2020, Carr chose Purdue over offers from Auburn, Boston College, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State, Kentucky, LSU, Maryland, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Missouri, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Penn State, Pitt, Syracuse, Tennessee, Wisconsin, and several others.

He has one year of eligibility remaining.
