The Ohio product announced his commitment to WVU after a win during the 2023 season following the game. Fox posted a graphic on social media and added “committed!!!” as the simple caption.
Fox, who initially received an offer from West Virginia back in May, has remained in steady contact with the WVU coaching staff.
Fox also earned offers from several other major programs but is locked in with the Mountaineers. In addition to WVU, Fox held Power 4 offers from Boston College, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan State and Minnesota. He also had offers from Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, UConn, Marshall, Miami (Oh.), Toledo and Kent State.
Fox was recruited by two different WVU coaches, starting with former quarterbacks coach Sean Reagan. When Reagan left for a job at Troy, his replacement, Tyler Allen, took over Fox’s recruitment. Fox stuck with his WVU commitment even after the firing of former head coach Neal Brown.
