An unforgettable season for the Texas A&M Aggies became ever so forgettable after the final out of their game on Sunday was recorded.
The Aggies were awarded the No. 1 national seed in the Women's College Series and were considered among the favorites to win the entire thing.
The Liberty Flames had other ideas, as they knocked off the Aggies not one time, but twice in three days to win the College Station regional. It was the first time in the history of the WCWS that the No. 1 national seed had been eliminated in the regional round.

The road doesn't get any easier for Liberty, as it will now match up with the No. 16 national seed Oregon Ducks in the Super Regional round.
Much like Liberty, Oregon will be riding an emotional high after advancing to the Super Regionals with a walk-off home run on Sunday night to eliminate Stanford.
It feels safe to assume that the Flames have it in them to knock off another national seed, but what are the chances it actually will happen?

According to ESPN BET, Oregon currently sits at +1100 odds to win the WCWS, while Liberty is way down the list at +10000.
The chances feel very slim as Liberty would have to go through several more national seeds to hoist the trophy, but it is possible.
If the Flames can make a Cinderella run and win the entire thing, they would join 2014 Florida and 2018 Florida State as the only three teams in the last 10 seasons to have double-digit losses and still win the WCWS.
