India captain Shubman Gill scored his 10th Test century on Day 2 of the second Test against the West Indies at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. He has been dealing with centuries since becoming the Test captain. The 26-year-old broke several records as the captain.
He is now the batter with the most centuries for India in WTC history. He has hit 10 tons in the World Test Championship, one more than Rohit Sharma, who smashed nine centuries.

Shubman Gill equalled Virat Kohli’s record for most Test centuries as a captain in a year. He has amassed five tons in 2025, while Kohli achieved the numbers twice in his career. He hit five centuries as a Test skipper in 2017 and 2018.
Gill went past Sachin Tendulkar, who accumulated four centuries in 1997 when he was the Test captain.
