On Sunday, in the high-voltage Asia Cup match between India and Pakistan, Team India defeated the Pakistani team by 7 wickets. Batting first, Pakistan set a target of 128 runs for India, in response to which the Men in Blue easily won the match with 25 balls to spare.
The atmosphere was such that even Pakistani fans started supporting India; as Team India was marching toward victory, a Pakistani fan even wore the Indian jersey. The video of this went viral on social media.
Notably, after the remarkable win, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav and none of the Indian players shook hands with the Pakistani players. The Indian players took this bold step to honor the victims of the Pahalgam attack and the valor of the Indian Army in Operation Sindoor.
