The singer-composer Palash Muchhal and the Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana were set to tie the knot in November 2025, but the wedding was suddenly called off just a day before the festivities were to begin. Shortly after, rumors began to emerge that Palash had been unfaithful to Smriti. At the time, both families had issued a statement that the wedding had been postponed due to Smriti’s father’s ill health. However, actor Nandish Sandhu, who was at the venue, has now come forward to tell his side of the story.

Nandish declined to speak about the 'cheating accusations' against Palash while speaking to Miss Malini. He said:

"It’s better not to say anything on that right now. And let Palash speak from his side."

He also said that noone even cared to reach out to Palash to hear his side of the story.

Remembering what happened in Sangli, he said:

“I’d gone for the wedding. That didn’t happen. And I just got to know that it’s not happening at the moment."

Besides, he also said that Smriti's father had a medical emergency, which was announced as the reason for the postponement of the wedding.

He also said:

“It’s postponed because what came out in the news, the same thing was there. Conveyed to you guys. Conveyed to everybody. Smriti’s dad wasn’t well. He was in the hospital. And that’s why everything has been postponed."

He said he feels saddened by the entire situation and that he came to know about the allegations on Palash only through social media reports. He said:

“Later on, I got to know through the news and media that this is what has been printed and this is happening. And I feel bad about it."

He expressed his sorrow about the cancellation of the wedding and said that he had witnessed the love between the ex-couple. He also said that they were head over heels for each other for the last five to six years and were a cute and nice couple.

Earlier, Smriti's childhood friend, Vidnyan Mane, also made allegations against Palash.

Vidnyan, while speaking with The Hindustan Times, said:

“I was at the wedding celebrations (November, 23, 2025) when he was caught red-handed with another woman in bed. Bhayanak scene tha, he was beaten up by the Indian female cricketers. The entire family is chindi chor. I thought he’d get married and settle in Sangli, but it has completely backfired on me."
